Nokia N93i

Motorola Marco

Motorola Macro

Samsung G800

Samsung Perkenalkan Ponsel Kamera 5 Megapiksel

BenQ-Siemens E81

Menarik untuk menyibak sejumlah kelebihan sebuah handset mungil.
Ketika digenggam, terasa sangat pas dengan telapak tangan. Tidak salah dengan slogan “the 3G power that fits in your palm”.

Nokia N95

The image “http://www.mobileburn.com/media/nokia/n95/thumb_n95_press_01.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. While it shares much with the Nokia N80 in terms of both design and functionality, Nokia's N95, the subject of this review, takes the capabilities of a mobile phone to a new level. On paper, at least, there appears to be little that this Finnish wonder can't do. It has quad-band GSM/EDGE support and 2100MHz UMTS as well as a 5 megapixel autofocus camera, a built-in GPS receiver, Bluetooth stereo support, and 802.11b/g WLAN support.

This is not your generic slider handset

[nokia_n95_1.jpg]

The N95 gives up the Nokia proprietary pop-port and instead has a miniUSB connector located on its bottom edge. The miniUSB port can not be used for charging, though, a task that is handled by a new style mini Nokia power connector. The top edge of the N95 is home to the power switch, which is also handy for changing profiles when pressed briefly. Out back one finds the 5 megapixel autofocus camera and its flash. The camera lens is protected by a cover that is opened and closed with a slider switch. Opening and closing the cover activates and deactivates the camera. A secondary, QVGA resolution camera is located on the front of the device, just above the display, and is intended for 3G video calling.

Physical Aspects

The Nokia N95 is a somewhat large slider form factor handset. It measures 100mm x 53mm x 20mm (3.9" x 2.1" x .8") in size and weighs 121g (4.3oz), which is to say it is by no means in the running for the thinnest and lightest handset on the market. The front of the N95 has a normal looking silver paint finish, but the sides and back of the device make use of a soft touch style deep burgundy color paint that has a very nice feel to it. Nokia has done a far better job with the slider mechanism on the N95 than it did on the N80. The slider in the N95 relies on a spring loaded mechanism instead of the friction based design used in the N80, which tended to slide open on its own. On top of that, the slider on the N95 moves in two directions, exposing the keypad when slid one way, and a series of 4 dedicated media playback keys when slid the other way.

The media keys don't have the best feel to them, and can not be located by touch alone since they consist of only markings on a plastic strip. Still, they are fine for their intended purpose. The regular alphanumeric keypad has its own issues, though. The keys are very stiff and located even lower on the slider than on the N80, which makes them a bit of a tough reach for somebody with large hands. The keys are also a fair bit smaller than those on the N80, making things all the more difficult. For their part, the d-pad and its dedicated center select button work very well, as do the rest of the dedicated keys that surround them.

On the right side of the device a dedicated two-stage camera shutter button can be found (half press to focus, full press to snap the photo) and a photo playback/gallery button that is similar to what one would expect to find on a dedicated digital camera. Pressing the button once will display the last photo on the screen, pressing it again will bring up the photo gallery. Also located on the right side of the N95 are the volume rocker switch and one of the two stereo speakers. The other speaker is located on the left side of the phone, along with the 3.5mm stereo headset jack, the Infrared port, and the covered microSD memory card slot.

Overall, I believe Nokia did a fine job on the physical design of the N95. The keypad design is the only aspect that I can find fault with, and given the constraints Nokia was working within, I think it is still quite acceptable.

Motorola RAZR2 V9

The image “http://www.mobiledia.com/phones/images/motorola/razr2-v9/razr2-v9-1.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

From an event in New York City today, Motorola has introduced the true successor to the original RAZR line, debuting the new RAZR2. With a focus on fashion, but not to the detriment of technology, Motorola hopes the new RAZR2 can fill the big shoes left by its older brethren.

While some original design cues of the RAZR have been retained, such as the etched metal keypad, the RAZR2 has otherwise received a near complete overhaul in terms of wardrobe. The RAZR2 V9 is 1mm thinner than the original RAZR and loses the older model's trademark 'chin' for a slight flick not dissimilar to that found in the Nokia 6131. The body of the RAZR2 V9 is made up of tough materials that include aluminum, chemically treated glass, and stainless steel. Up to 120 pounds of pressure can be placed on the device's hinge, meaning that unlike many fashion phones, the Motorola RAZR2 is built to last.

As previously mentioned, the Motorola RAZR2 V9 has also received an upgrade in the technology department with a new 2.2" QVGA resolution display on the inside and a suprisingly large 2" external TFT display - the largest found on any clamshell handset on the market. Below the external screen can be found touch sensitive music keys that include haptic technology to provide tactical feedback despite not actually moving. An interesting feature called Crystal Talk automatically adjusts the earpiece volume according to ambient noise levels, and a HTML browser and 2.0MP camera with 4, 6, or 8 frame multi-shot mode round out the feature set.

The RAZR2 V9 will run Motorola's new Java Linux UI in most markets, which is a welcome upgrade. It seems likely that the V9m, which is the CDMA EV-DO variant, will run an updated version of the older UI in lieu of the Linux based system in order to work within Verizon's UI requirements. Both the V9 and V9m will run an enhanced version of the old Motorola UI, not the Linux Java platform that we thought initially. In any case, the V9 and V9m both run on a new 500MHz ARM11 processor, which has had a massive impact on UI response.

Motorola has not confirmed specific market availability or pricing for the RAZR2 V9 as of yet, but said to expect the device in Asia by early July and that it will start making its way into the rest of the world later in the summer.

You'll find more live photos of the RAZR2 V9 on the following page.

Today Sony Ericsson USA announced the release of the S500, a device derived largely from the W580 Walkman handset we saw launched at CTIA earlier this year. This 94g (3.3oz) handset sports design flourishes such as themes that change between night and day, weekday and weekend, or as the seasons pass.

The quad-band GSM/EDGE S500 offers a sharp 262k color, QVGA resolution display to view photos shot with its built-in 2 megapixel camera. Photos, music, and video clips can be stored in the internal 12MB of memory, or on a Memory Stick Micro card - not included. The S500 does ship with wired stereo headphones and the Disc2Phone software, and is compatible with Bluetooth A2DP wireless headphones as well.

The 14mm thick S500 will be available in either green or yellow when it starts shipping in Q2 of this year, some time before its expected North American debut in Q3. No pricing information has been provided at this time.

Sejarah Lahirnya Handphone
